If there is to be a sequel, it'll be between the time Mark Wahlberg leaves the planet, and the time he re enters in the future.
Hence the cool idea that Thade was like the Prez at the end. Meaning? Marky mark will probably not be a part of the new planet of apes. Hee hee, Another actor will probably enter the electric time storm and go into the future and meet Thade in the Spaceship where he were trapped....
Hmm, now that would be an interesting idea.
If not stupid, but I'm always right, the producers will probably be thinking of something in this line of scripting.
