In Basketball Diaries, Mark effectively
plays DiCaprio's best friend. He looks really
dishy playing basketball...and his acting skills are so natural. You feel so much for
this neighborhood group of kids....who first
are into basketball....then slowly creep into
heavy heroin use.
I recently saw this movie for the second
time....and although it is extremely sad...
it is a fantstic film...and Mark's acting in
this, like I said comes so naturally.
Please rent this movie...if you have never
seen it...it is worth the rent. DiCaprio and
Wahlberg's lives slowly go down the drain...
Only DiCaprio's poetic talent finally saves him in the end. He plays Jim Caroll....a real life poet and musician who also stars in this film.

better...because the music is great and Mark's acting is much more advanced. Basket
ball Diaries is good, Mark's acting is terrific for this only being his second movie...I think..

fear is an action movie, if you like thrillers like that well then you'll probably like fear better, but seriously if were talking about quality of film in the artist sense... basketball diaries is high above fear.

hey! I looove Mark and i have seen most of his films but i have not seen basketball diaries...is he one of the main characters and is he shown alot?

In this film mark isn't the main character but i'd say 2nd to Leo but he's in it a fair bit until towards the end it's a great film with great acting.....
