I don't know how they would do it but I would love to see a sequel of this movie, maybe following his porn star career and seeing what happens to him years after.
Does anyone agree? |

Yeah, I would like to see that happen but what would it be called? Nothing cheesy like 'Boogie Nights 2'. A completely different name but some of the same characters. What the heck has happened to Burt Reynolds lately? I am such a big fan of his but his face looks like it has been wrapped tightly in cling flim, he has been doing a one man show in Vegas and was on ET recently. Maybe he could get a role in a remake of 'The House of Wax' he wouldn't need to spend a lot of time in make up! Poor lad, ageing is such a swine

lol I don't think it's the aging as much but the plastic surgery he's had, when are they going to realise nothing is going to beat mother nature, Melanie Griffiths, Farrah Fawcett, Pricilla Presley all look horrific,Burt looks like he's been stretched and stapled, I hope Mark never has this done.
Maybe the next movie would show Burt dying and Mark taking over the business and bringing it right up to date, I loved the way the film" Blow" did this, Johnny Depp started off as a teenager in the 50's and we watched his rise and fall through the decades until he was an old man.
They should do this with Boogie nights and follow Dirk until he dies an old man. |

I really dont think a sequel should be made. I like how the movie ended. It kinda leaves it to the audience's imagination. I recently watched the DVD with the commentary by PT Anderson, good stuff man, good stuff.
