I personally thought that that movie is one of the best movies EVER!!! Mark just made it that much better! It is actually on "THE list"(a movie list of about 300 titles that are the GREATEST EVER!!!) He really has an incredible talent, and Donnie does too. I think the Wahlberg brothers were made for the spot light!

I loved Boogie Nights ..I also think it really showcased Mark's incredible talent as an actor. The character of Dirk had to be played in a way that the audience would like him regardless of his chosen profession and flaws.
I think Mark managed to give Dirk a certain innocence and naivete in a very uninnocent environment.
I never expected to like this movie and if it wasnt for Mark would never have watched it ....so I was even more impressed by his abilities
And no I didn't think Mark looked HOT in it so that had nothing to do with it. He just impressed me by making me like a movie I was set not to enjoy. |

I think "Boogie Nights" is nearly perfect! Paul Thomas Anderson is a genie, his second film "Magnolia" is fantastic too! And Mark played the role of Dirk Diggler very good I think. I count that film to one of Marks best!

| If you like Paul Thomas Anderson's movies, you might want to rent his first movie called Hard Eight. It's as good as his other movies and ,of course, some of the same cast members. |

| Personally I think Mark did a good job simply because he was portraying a character so far from his own personality. However, I really did NOT like the movie. It was really boring. It seemed like a teenage boys fantasy to me. But to each their own ya know. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This was his smartest move ever acting wise. This movie is so cool (my P.O. only!)
I have to say I didn't agree with the 'teenage fantasy' bit. I don't know any young male who would enjoy jerking off in front of someone else, for money, becoming a coke addict and a has been by the time the're 20! I guess the porn at the beginning maybe!
