As Mark Wahlberg’s “Entourage” gears up for a third season on HBO, the big question on fans’ minds’ is this: Will “Aquaman” be a hit or a big, wet bellyflop?
As fans of the HBO comedy know, Vincent Chase, aka Adrian Grenier, got his big break last season, starring in the big-budget superhero flick directed by “Titanic” king of the world James Cameron, who plays himself in the show.
According to TV Guide, Cameron has written a “long, funny” letter to ‘Entourage’ creator Doug Ellin saying he doesn’t want to see the movie bomb on the show. But Entertainment Weekly reports that there’s a “darkly funny crimp come opening weekend” for “Aquaman.”
Well, the audience won’t have to wait long to find out. Ellin says it will all be wrapped up by Episode 2.
As you well know, the series is based on Wahlberg’s early years in Tinseltown when he brought his posse of pals from the Dorchester ’hood to the Left Coast to help him follow his dream of stardom.
A lucky group of local “Entourage” fans will get a sneak peek of the season premiere at 28 Degrees tomorrow night at a preview party hosted by HBO and Boston Common maggie. The rest of you will just have to wait until it airs Sunday night. . . . |
