Has anyone checked this out? I think it was released in December and I'm curious about the special features...

It has a few more extras than the old one, including a round table discussion. There's alot of discussion about Gray's process to make and plan the movie - you should see his storyboards. I think its cool, but I love knowing how people make movies. Anyway, not alot of Mark stuff compared to the old dvd.
There's a roundtable disscussion, Mark doesnt say much compared to Charlize and the James' (gray and Caan).
Its also a different cut than the old version. This new version supposedly makes it more from Joaquin's characters POV vs. Mark's character POV. Havent seen them back to back to compare but that was what I read elsewhere. There's one deleted scene but its like 20 seconds. |

Thanks for the info Lianne! I also like learning about the movie-making process. When it comes to one of Marks movies though, I'm looking for the most Mark material. Is the original DVD best for that?
Thanks!! |

I dont think so, but I'll have to see the films back to back to see if they cut any of Mark's scenes. I'll try and see compare this weekend and report back. |

Thanks! I'd be interested to know if the movie being from Joaquin's POV cuts Mark's scenes, and also which Special Features offers the most Mark. (boy do I sound obsessive) I didn't know that detail about the POV changing with the different cuts - that's good info! Thanks again! |
