|
|
For those who have seen the film, this question is in regards to the final song in the movie where Mark is singing in a club with his former "enemy" in the film. This scene is where he reunites with Jennifer Aniston's character.
Does anyone know the title of that song, and if it is out on mp3? Probably the only song I liked, but that other one he sang with Steel Dragons as well... lyrics included, "in my soul flow....etc". Not quite sure about that. Anyone knows, email me. Thx. |

Hi sozovik,
The song your looking for that's at the club that Mark sings is called 'Colorful' and is recorded by the group 'The Verve Pipe.' The "former enemy" Mark sings with is acutally a guy named Brian Vander Ark, the lead singer for the group The Verve Pipe.
I/m guessing that if you check the Rock Star soundtrack or The Verve Pipe's upcomming cd Underneath, they might have some mp3 downloads.
Or better yet..further support the film Rock Star ***What a Fantastic movie girls!*** and The Verve Pipe and buy both of the cds.
Also check out that Rock Star soundtrack for all 5 Steel Dragon songs!..
The 2 groupies in the Rock Star film *Nina and Samantha* have a site http://www.bloodpollutionrules.com/ninaandsamantha/
or visit: http://www.bloodpollutionrules.com/cmp/specialthanks.html
That site has lyrics to the Steel Dragon songs and might help you find what you're looking for.
Hope that helps you out
~love and peace 2 you, Elizabeth

| I just bought the CD for the soundtrack. The song that "Chris" sings to audition is called "We all Die young" it was my favourite in the movie. I don't think Mark sang it at all because it sounds exactly like it did in the movie. The other song "colorful" which "Chris" sings at the end is also on the CD. |

| "We all die young" is my favorite song in the movie as well. And the ending was just so sweet and perfect when they get together again; and mark looks so cute in the whole "casual coffee bar/poetry club" look! I can't figure out if i like it better than the longer hair and leather pants |

Actually, it isn't an "enemy" exactly that he's singing with at the end of the movie (when he does "Colorful") that's Rob, the guitarist from Blood Pollution...remember when they meet up and he says "You cut your hair" and "I'm thinking of getting a band together"...on stage, that's Rob on the left (Chris' right) playing guitar.

| the end of the movie the guy playing with chirs cole is actually his old band mate that kick him out of "blood pollution" not the guy from verve pipe! the band mate he plays with in the end scene is also in the movie "gone in 60 seconds" he plays one of the cops! when chris auditions for the "real band" it is him singing but no he does not sing any of the songs! Mike Metjevic which is the lead singer for the band "Steelheart" sings "blood pollution and "We all die Young" Jeff Soto which plays with another band sings "stand up and shout". I talk with Mike Metjevic a lot and he laughes everytime someone thinks it's Mark singing. Now Zakk Wylde that plays the lead guitar for "steel Dragon" does actually play on the cd and John Bonham also plays drums on the cd as well as the band. |

I like the last song , too! 'colorful'.
if you watch the commentary section on the
dvd, the director said mark sings the 'bass'
part of the song and the other person sang the higher, 'tenor' part. but that mark does sing in the movie. as i recall. i have to get the soundtrack yet.trl 117. |

Howdy y'all
I am new to this messageboard and also am a a huge TEZAS size fan of Mark. I was wondering in the movie Rock Star if Mark really sang the songs. If he did he did an excellent job!!! |
