I think this website is pretty cool - I have only just come across it, and my obsession with Mark has been brewing for a while. I have just downloaded the CK photo of Mark for my desktop and have to now hold my hand up and admit that I have become pretty smitten with the guy. I wonder like many of you whether Mark ever reads any of the notices - if I was him I wouldn't because it would creep me out, but what do you guys think? If you could ask him one question or make one statement of wisdom to him, what would it be?

Hi Vannesa,
I'm not sure when this website came into existance, as I've only been on the chat board since January 8th, but I do know that Mark visited the site during (I believe it was) the last week of February. Mark Shields (webmaster) told us this in the News update at that time.
We were all excited and a little freaked out, just wondering if he had read anything we said, and if he was offended by anything.
We still don't know if he read any of our posts or not. Mark S. said he "made some comments" about the stie though, and it's my opinion that they were general comments about how it is set up and what kinds of things should be available to fans, or something along that line. I have always hoped that someday, he might leave us a note or a letter, even if it is just a "read only" document that we could not reply to. At least we would know he knows about US.
There used to be an e-mail section where you could leave e-mail for him. I hear they are going to recreate this again in some way. I remember last fall, before I became a chat board member, I would come on here and just browse around, and at that time, there were zillions of e-mails left for him!! It was unreal how many messages ppl. left for him!
I don't think he has a PC at his house still, and I'm not sure of his "computer literacy", but perhaps he will just show up sometime; you never can tell.
If I could say one thing to him right now, I would say, "Mark, I'm so proud of you for quitting smoking!! You will feel better for it, and be healthier in the long-run. And your future will be better for it, too! May you live a long and healthy life!"
If I could ask him a question, I think it would be, "Have you given up music for good, or couldn't you do it in a more serious way, as Mark Wahlberg, and not as Marky Mark? You are SO GOOD AT IT, and we would love to have more! (But don't stop the acting either!)"
I would and could say more, but as you can see, I'm long-winded enuff!! Good topic, Vannesa!!

Vanessa,

I just spoke to Mark W's people yesterday, and it turns out that he has been taking an even bigger interest in this site lately. They have big plans for this site, and even plans for other projects related to this site, so I'd say chances are he reads at least some of this. Couldn't tell you what, and reading everything would be very time-consuming, so your guess is as good as mine.

Respectfully,
Laura

Laura,
Thanks so much for the update! Well, at least he knows we exist! That's something, anyhow. After I read the daily sched. he has had with "Metal God", which Mark S. kindly provided to us in February, I can see why he owuld not have tons of time to mess around in here!
If nothing else, I hope he gets the idea that we are truly appreciative of his work, and admire his talents, not ONLY his appearance! Most of us are female, so we cannot help that natural attraction, but we also know there is SO MUCH MORE TO HIM than that. We have had several "deep" discussions about other things. I hope he also knows that whatever our faults, we do mean well, and generally do get along well as a group, which is pretty amazing, considering that there are over a dozen nationalities who have come on the chat board! I think the "real-time chat" would be crowded also, if more of us could get it to work!! (It just does not connect at all for me, and I don't know what to do about it.
And I do not use AOL as a server either.)
ANYWAY...
Just to say that we are very optimistic and excited about this site, and all the things that are "in the offing". I have more time I can spend in here since I am single, but I know most of the "regulars" come on as much as time permits, and we all feel a definite void when the site is down. (Thank God that has not happened but once since I've been here!)
All of you behind-the-scenes are much more appreciated than you will ever know, by all of us out here in cyberspace!! And no matter how far apart we are physically, we continue to remain--
"United Thru Mark"!

Christina you are soooooo rude!

I have only just got around to watching Boogie Nights which is a real sin...

What a fantastic film, Mark is such a fantastic actor, he really got me wanting him to desperately get back into his Porn acting and the family that had adopted him. Quite sad but poignant in a strangely satirical way, although a long film, hugely entertaining (wink, wink).

I also saw Three Kings not that long ago at the Cinema and was nearly moved to tears by Mark's performance.

Mark if you ever read any of these messages I have to say that your chosen profession is definitely the right path for you, long may you reign in your chosen profession and I hope that you receive exciting and provoking scripts that will genuinely suit and show of your talents!

Christina,
Gone? Yeah, it's gone all right, cuz it was never there to begin with LMAO!! heehee!!

Actually, MY innocence was thwarted by none other than Da Man himself! It's ALL HIS FAULT! If he hadn't been born "cute-to the bone", I'd have stood a chance, but NO, he just HAD to be "larapin" from the git-go!!
And then he had the NERVE to grow up all adorable like that, and just get more dam*ed cute every year!! And handsome, on top of that! Boy, he's got his crust, just prancing around in his undies all those years, and now showing us those all-too-BRIEF "hiney shots" in certain movies!!
Ohhhhhhhh! How's a girl--er, Woman to maintain her COMPOSURE when such blatant hunkiness is running rampant acrosss our movie screens! I ask you, how can I stay in my former innocence after seeing all those pictures on the Net??? All this carnal exposure is just ruining my reputation!! I keep watching my vids, just HOPING Mark will turn over a new leaf and maybe even follow in the footsteps of his mentor, Father Flavin, (sp) but, alas! Da Man strolls casually on, leaving broken hearts and revved-up libidos in his wake! Whatever shall I do with him? (evil grin...)
Fie upon You, Mark Wahlberg! You have tarnished this once bright Southern Belle!
How shall I evah show my face in polite society again?! *collapses in a dead faint*

uh huh....sure....alrighty then....

i on the other hand am not gonna sit here and go into great detail abouthow innocent i am
*puts on her nun habit*
i mean....i could give you a ton of reasons to show you what an angel i am .....but i dont have to prove myself to anyone..
*puts rosary around neck*
maybe if i wanted to i could give subtle hints to prove my innocence
*picks up bible and starts to read*
but i dont need cuz i know who i am and have nothing to prove
*starts reciting the Lord's prayer*
i'm pure...

*polishes halo*

but then i also think that all women are innocent till some man comes along and makes them guilty...lol
